Enrollment

Tempe Elementary District employees, Teen Parents, and students and staff of Arizona State University have priority for enrollment at Next Horizons. Community (all other) families are admitted to Next Horizons only when the prioritized populations do not use childcare slots. Next Horizons operates a waiting list based on affiliation and sequence of application. Next Horizons enrolls children beginning at 2 weeks of age, through the kindergarten-ready age.

Transition Plan

Into The Program

  • A guided tour with one of the Co-Directors (Harveen Sethi or Robin West).

  • Tour of at least two other child care facilities

  • Observation of classroom and teachers

  • $150 non-refundable registration fee

Activities 

Tour, classroom visit, introductions, observations, forms and welcome. Next Horizons provides services for special needs children on a case by case basis.

Additional forms may be required. All forms must be completed and returned to the center on or before the child’s first day. Parents are responsible for notifying Next Horizons staff immediately of changes in the emergency information on file at the center.

Tuition

* This tuition rate for the infants and ones room is only for nine hours.  You may choose any nine hour block you need from 7am – 5:30pm.*

Discount A 10% discount is given to families with multiple children in the program.  The discount is taken off the tuition of the older child.

Registration Fee Next Horizons Child Development Center will charge an annual registration fee of $150.  The registration fee is due with the application of enrollment.

Payment Option Tuition as listed above is paid monthly, each month at the same rate.  Credit is not issued for days missed due to illness, vacation or scheduled closures (please see the calendar for breaks and holidays).  Tuition is due the first of each month.  A $25.00 late fee will be assessed for any balance past due on the 15th of each month.  Enrollment will be terminated for non-payment after 30 days. 

Late Pick Up Parents who pick up late (outside of the contracted time) will be charged a $5 fee for every 5 minutes that they are late.

Withdrawal Policy All Families must give written notice 30 days prior to withdrawing their child from the center.  Failure to do so will result in a fee of a month’s tuition.

Changes in Fee Next Horizons reserves the right to change fees at any time and will provide a 30 day written notice to all enrolled families.

*Any checks returned from the bank will result in a $25.00 fee in addition to a $12 bank fee.
